CLOWNS HAVE A FULL DAY - HOW SATISFYING ARE YOUR DAYS?

A Story from a Clown; How was YOUR day?

Clowned for a disabilities event. The job was to get people involved and add another dimension to the festivities…. But rather than be done in couple hours, arranged to continue clowning all afternoon.

Went to a Children’s Home for runaways, or other state reasons to take the children out of their homes. Teenage boys… teenage girls, animal balloons… one girl afraid of clowns but later was just fine. Then went to the LBG area… LBG LBG…. Little Boys and Girls… wake up from nap… juggled, made a few animal balloons, and gave stickers to them. 2 hours… .

then Veterans Administration Hospital. Woke up a few old guys and chatted with them. Very interesting men… One hour.

Then it was off to a nursing home… hung out there for a couple hours and took clown photos with staff…

Arrived home but was out of beer and wasn't dressed for beer shopping….. next time you see a clown.. thank them for all the time they take to get the outfits…put on the makeup, and all the cleanup they have to do afterward….

Judge would really like you to think of what you can do in your community… You don’t need a clown costume to visit the nursing homes or the Children’s Home….

Most of the time the clown was at those places, he was just talking like a regular person and interacting with them in a regular person to person style…. YOU can do these things and more.. You can start a reading out loud time at the library… single mom with nice daughter in summertime… good idea for the daughter to volunteer to do the library thing....

A CLOWN DAY...what do you do in a day?
